Numerous physical therapy treatments are effective for managing headaches and TMD. Symptoms will vary between patients, thus, treatment programs must be individualized to address each patient’s needs. We will work with dentists and doctors to ensure that the patient receives the best care and recovery possible.
Your physical therapist will assess the range and quality of motion at your neck, your upper back, and your jaw (your temporomandibular joint) along with your strength and posture. Goals for treatment include to reduce pain and muscle spasms, improve inflammation, increase range of motion, improve posture, and increase cervical and jaw mobility. Prevention and treatment of headaches and TMD includes therapeutic exercise, postural training, myofascial release, stretching, joint mobilization, and ultrasound.
The staff shows genuine care for their patients, they’re all personable without exception, they answer all questions thoroughly, and stay on top of how I’m doing. Most importantly, I’m feeling better than I have in years with reduced pain, increased comfort, and flexibility. I can’t imagine going anywhere else for physical therapy in the future.
