Tamara is a licensed physical therapist in our Hudsonville office. Tamara completed her Bachelor of Science in Movement Science from the University of Michigan and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Grand Valley State University. Prior to physical therapy, Tamara worked as a certified personal trainer with a wide variety of clientele ranging from young athletes to the elderly. Her physical therapy passions include utilizing a hands-on, manual approach paired with individualized exercises. She prioritizes patient education regarding each therapy diagnosis and pain response, and empowers patients to get back to the activities they enjoy. She has extensive clinical experience working with patients with orthopedic and sports-related injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, as well as chronic pain conditions.

Tamara’s research on extremity strength training in patients with Fibromyalgia is published in the Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies. Tamara is a Certified Manual Physical Therapist (CMPT) through the North American Institute of Manual Therapy (NAIOMT).

Tamara loves participating in all sports and has competitive experience in basketball, soccer, volleyball, track and ultimate frisbee. She particularly enjoys being active outside, running, backpacking, yoga and spending time with her husband, two sons and dog.
