Certified Personal Trainer
Tamara is a licensed physical therapist in our Hudsonville office. Tamara completed her B.S. in Movement Science from the University of Michigan in 2011 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015 from Grand Valley State University. Prior to physical therapy, Tamara worked as a certified personal trainer with a wide variety of clientele ranging from young athletes to the elderly. Her physical therapy passions include utilizing a hands-on, manual approach paired with individualized exercises. She prioritizes patient education regarding each therapy diagnosis and pain response, and empowers patients to get back to the activities they enjoy. She has extensive clinical experience working with patients with orthopedic and sports-related injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, as well as chronic pain conditions. Tamara’s research on extremity strength training in patients with Fibromyalgia is published in the Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies. Tamara is pursuing an advanced manual certification through the North American Institute of Manual Therapy (NAIOMT) as well as courses integrating yoga and physical therapy.
Tamara loves participating in all sports and has competitive experience in basketball, soccer, volleyball, track and ultimate frisbee. She particularly enjoys being active outside, backpacking and spending time with her husband, son and dog.

Thank you for your help in my recovery. Wade and Marla have certainly helped me with their therapy after the knee surgery and the broken arm. All of you have been extremely kind as you guided me through the various exercises that have re-energized the many muscles that have helped me walk and get close to normal again. Your smiles, encouragements, the family atmosphere has been very helpful throughout the process. It starts with the smile and welcome that Kayla gives each time I walk in the door.
