Put simply, the Functional Movement Screen is a ranking and grading system that documents movement patterns that are key to normal function. By screening these patterns, the Functional Movement Screen readily identifies functional limitations and asymmetries. These are issues that can reduce the effects of functional training and physical conditioning and distort body awareness.
The Functional Movement Screen generates the Functional Movement Screen Score, which is used to target problems and track progress. This scoring system is directly linked to the most beneficial corrective exercises to restore mechanically sound movement patterns.
The screen will take 15 – 20 minutes and form the score we will develop an appropriate HEP to address any asymmetries or outstanding movement inefficiencies.
I had the pleasure of interacting with the entire staff in Cutlerville during my treatment. Everyone made the recovery process very tolerable, despite the “fears” of therapy that we patients/clients go through.Joe
