Best Volleyball Stretches

Leah Adams, Doctor of Physical Therapy at our Byron Center clinic, played volleyball at Grand Valley University while completing her undergraduate work in Biomedical Science. When asked what her favorite volleyball stretches were this is what she said:

”For warming up, I would suggest fewer stretches. The best stretches are rather active movements to prepare for beach volleyball moves. Hitting/throwing the ball back and forth for shoulder, then squats, walking lunges, running forward, backward and side shuffling in the sand. All prepared you from a cardiovascular and muscular standpoint to move in the sand!”
