DPT – Doctor of Physical Therapy

Sierra is a licensed physical therapist at our Rockford location. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Grand Valley State University. She continued her education at Grand Valley, earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2021.  She has been a member of the Rockford team since 2016, previously serving as both a PT tech and patient advocate.

Sierra gained insight and experience in a variety of areas, including pelvic health and manual therapy while completing her orthopedic clinical rotations during PT school. She enjoys treating patients with a variety of diagnoses and is passionate about providing patients with individualized care in order to help them achieve their goals and get back to doing activities they enjoy. Sierra plans to pursue further education in pelvic health, TMJ, and advanced manual therapy techniques.

In her free time, Sierra loves to travel with family and friends. She has had the opportunity to visit 71 National Parks. Sierra enjoys hiking, canoeing, snowmobiling, and many more outdoor activities. She also has a love for animals and currently has 3 dogs and a cat.

You are all AMAZING!!! Amber and Jolene are the best! When Abbie became injured 1 1/2 years ago in dance- something she loved to do, she went through 3 doctors, another physical therapists, many painful procedures and finally found a Dr. Hedlund who sent us to Hulst Jepsen where she was blessed with 2 amazing therapist and their staff! Abbie thought she may never dance again! She had many ups and downs in her therapy but no one ever gave up on her. They always listened to her and helped her do her best! Now she has finished her therapy, is starting dance again in a few weeks, is auditioning for the Nutcracker and her dance team at school!!!
