Melissa Stebbins

Physical Therapist, DPT, OCS

DPT – Doctor of Physical Therapy
OCS – Orthopedic Clinical Specialist

Melissa is a licensed physical therapist at our Lowell location. She attended Northeastern University in Boston where she received both her Bachelor of Science in Rehab Science in 2007 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2008. After graduation, Melissa worked in an outpatient orthopedic setting in the Boston area where she worked under 8 Orthopedic surgeons and 4 physician assistants. This allowed her unique access to provide care to mainly post-surgical patients and sports-related injuries.

Melissa is passionate about helping patients reach their goals, from helping an athlete get back on the field to improving patients’ ability to squat after a knee replacement. Melissa is an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and utilizes a hands-on approach. She believes that education and understanding of one’s injury is the most important step in physical therapy.

Melissa and her family relocated to Michigan in 2022 to be closer to family. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors with her husband and daughter, crafting, baking, and riding her Peloton. She is excited to experience Midwest life and explore the mitten state.

I came into Hulst Jepsen right after having a major knee surgery. I was not able to bend or straighten my knee. Now I’m able to play all three of my sports with no problem running, jumping, or pivoting.
