Mike is a licensed physical therapist at our Standale location. He began his college years at Michigan Technological University and later transferred to Central Michigan University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Public Health. He then went on to Grand Valley State University, where he received his second Bachelor’s degree, this time in Physical Therapy, in 1986.
Mike has spent his entire Physical Therapy career in West Michigan, working in outpatient clinics treating individuals with a wide variety of orthopedic issues. He has taken numerous continuing education courses, all related to orthopedic rehabilitation. He has a special interest in post-surgical rehabilitation. Mike has always been fascinated by the fact that, while everyone has the same basic anatomy, all are different in how they function and manifest problems. As such, he places a great deal of importance on looking at and listening to every person he works with as individuals, and not as a “diagnosis,” in order to create an optimal, individualized treatment plan.
Mike enjoys running, traveling to Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula, and spending time with family and friends. He is married with two adult daughters. He also very much enjoys living and working on the Westside and being part of that community.
