Mike Ziegler

Physical Therapist

Mike is a licensed Physical Therapist at our Standale location. He began his college years at Michigan Technological University, later transferring to Central Michigan University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Public Health. He then went on to Grand Valley State University, where he received his second Bachelor’s degree, this time in Physical Therapy, in 1986.

Mike has spent his entire Physical Therapy career in West Michigan, working in outpatient clinics treating individuals with a wide variety of orthopedic issues. He has taken numerous continuing education courses, all related to orthopedic rehabilitation. He has a special interest in post-surgical rehabilitation. Mike has always been fascinated by the fact that, while everyone has the same basic anatomy, all are different in how they function and manifest problems. As such, he places a great deal of importance on looking at and listening to every person he works with as individuals, and not as a “diagnosis”, in order to create an optimal, individualized treatment plan.

Mike enjoys running, traveling to Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula, and spending time with family and friends. He is married with two adult daughters. He also very much enjoys living and working on the West side and being part of that community.

Thank you for your help in my recovery. Wade and Marla have certainly helped me with their therapy after the knee surgery and the broken arm. All of you have been extremely kind as you guided me through the various exercises that have re-energized the many muscles that have helped me walk and get close to normal again. Your smiles, encouragements, the family atmosphere has been very helpful throughout the process. It starts with the smile and welcome that Kayla gives each time I walk in the door. Thanks so much to each of you for your caring attitude.
