PTA – Physical Therapist Assistant
Anneka is a licensed physical therapist assistant at our Gaines Township clinic, who is currently earning her doctorate in physical therapy at the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio. Despite going to school in Ohio, Anneka has called West Michigan her home for her whole life, growing up in the Caledonia area and attending South Christian High School. Anneka attended Baker College in Muskegon, where she earned her Associate’s of Applied Science in 2018 followed by her Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration in 2019. She is set to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy by December of 2022. Anneka is happy to return to Hulst Jepsen as she had worked as a physical therapy technician at the Gaines clinic back when she first started college.
Anneka enjoys working with patients of all ages, from young kids to older adults. She is passionate about working with those with vestibular or balance disorders to help them achieve their goals and function without fear of dizziness or imbalance. Anneka finds joy in helping patients regain the ability to participate in activities that may have been challenging due to their injury or limitation. Anneka also enjoys working with athletes of all levels and is pursuing a strength and conditioning certification to offer exercise and nutrition counseling. Anneka strives to provide evidence-based practice to give the best care to all patients using the most effective methods based on current research.
In her leisure time, Anneka loves to cook and bake and is always on the lookout for new recipes. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, including going for walks or hikes and spending time at her parents’ lakehouse. She enjoys traveling both nationally and internationally and has been to Spain, France, and The Netherlands so far. She especially enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

The staff and therapists are wonderful. I could feel the improvement almost from the first session. The recommendations on lifestyle changes and additions were easy and worked.Nancy W.
